NEWS: LILIAN JUPPET JOINS THE TEAM!

The GONG team has a new recruit! Lilian Juppet, who has been competing on the wing foiling world tour for the past two years, will be part of the GONG line up for the 2023 events!

Barely 20 years old, Lilian is a jack of all trades who has specialized in wing foiling in recent seasons, finishing on top of the QS Surf-Freestyle rankings in 2022 and proving himself with solid results on the World Tour. Yet, Lilian only got into wing foiling in the summer of 2021 on the spot near Almanarre where he usually spends summertime while focusing on skiing in the winter season, in Savoie, his region of origin.

Wing foiler: Lilian, GONG team rider, in Lethal FSP Pro, Neutra, HM 85 Mast, Ypra S and Fluid H Stab.

Since he pretty much spent half the year on the ski slopes and the other half at the seaside since he was 10 years old, Lilian has developed a keen sense for boardsports. On the water, it is windsurfing that got him into freestyle and all kinds of stunts. In 2020 he discovers foiling with dock starts which allows him to take advantage of the windless days in the south of France. The following summer he added a wing to his dock start gear and was quickly encouraged to participate in competitions. So this is what he did with a first contest in Surf-Slalom in Italy and only 5 months after his very first session in wing foiling, a Surf-Freestyle event on the World Tour in Dakhla where he met the 2021 champion, Titouan Galea , who eliminated him in this event, and the future 2022 champion, Malo Guénolé, with whom he will compete next season in the GONG colors.

Lilian, who has settled in the region, arrived at the beginning of the year at the GONG Space Center, enthusiastically discovering the center of skills that this place is all about. Here he can share his enthusiasm for watersports with technicians and professionals in their fields. On the sporting level, Lilian also takes advantage of the facilities to prepare physically with Florent the sports coach who boosts Malo and many members of the staff.

If you visit the GONG Space Center, you may have the opportunity to greet him because apart from training and competitions, Lilian participates in the life of the GONG Space Center by sharing advice on wing foiling, SUP foiling, kitesurfing or surfing to the boardsport enthusiasts who come through our door.
