NEWS: BASTIEN ON THE PODIUM IN FREEFLY-SLALOM

Our team rider ends the season ranked number 3 in the world in FreeFly-Slalom after the last event in Brazil!
Despite setting ambitious goals on both the Surf-Freestyle and Freefly-Slalom disciplines for which he trains extensively, Bastien managed to hold on to a 3rd place in Freefly-Slalom behind Francesco Capuzzo who won the title and Titouan Galea. A result which rewards his speed, his talent for racing and a go for it attitude. A state of mind that also led him to great success in the Surf-Freestyle category with quite a couple of podiums in 2023. Results marked by innovative and spectacular tricks in his heats. In the final ranking of the Surf-Freestyle tour, he placed 4th. If there was an overall ranking in wing foiling, he would be the man to beat. A fantastic season for Bastien that we will be one to watch closely next year.

The FreeFly-Slalom event in Brazil
There was no room for errors in the lagoon which hosted the Freefly-Slalom races. On this perfectly flat stretch of water, the course proposed by the organizers was fast and the maneuvers had to be more precise than ever. An average execution of a maneuver and you were bound to end dead last. Technical for the riders and spectacular for spectators on the beach. The first to get into the perfect rhythm was our team rider Julien Rattotti who won the first rounds with a victory in the first elimination. We also note the speed of Clément Hamon who ranked among the best during this first day.
The gaps narrowed during the second day with races played out until the last meters. After a slow start to the event, Bastien scored several 3rd place finishes with his teammate Julien Rattotti in his wake. On the evening of the last day, Bastien ranked 5th and Julien took 4th place. The 2023 Big Air World Champion also concludes a magnificent season with some epic race victories in Freefly-Slalom.
