Leco Salazar joins the GONG team as reigning SUP world champion!
The Brazilian native of Santos on the coast of São Paulo won a second world title last year in the SUP Longboard category. In 2023, he’ll be showcasing his wide repertoire of turns and tricks in this category on the NFA FSP Pro, the benchmark LongSUP shaped by L’Ours.Leco has become a reference in the SUP community after winning a first title in 2012 on the APP world tour in the SUP Surfing category. Then 24 years old, this success on this very competitive tour with opponents of the caliber of Kai Lenny, rewards a youth entirely dedicated to surfing.
On the best spots of Santos, Leco and his brothers followed the example of their father who distinguished himself in competition with many victories. We can say that surfing is literally in their DNA! A passion that led him to set up his home base on the mythical North Shore of Oahu where he will now be equipped, in addition to his SUP quiver, with a quiver of GONG shortboards and longboards, but also surf foiling and wing foiling equipment.
