Flight time and agility are the keywords of a session with the Matata EPS Pro.
Taking off early, flying forever and surfing with minimal inertia are the actions that define what a session with the Matata is all about. The favorite conditions of the Matata? Those who come to mind when first getting foiling equipment in your quiver, namely small, soft and sloppy waves. On the compact shape of the Matata, you turn around for a wave in a split second, take off on the foam and connect a set wave in the distance. With the Matata your sessions are spent on the foil with wave connections in all directions.

A super compact shape
With its tiny size ranging from 3’11 to 4’11, the Matata has no inertia in front of your foot. It’s really a micro board with volume. You pump in direct connection with the foil, almost as if the board does not exist.
Its particularly complex hull optimizes the flow before the flight to boost this very compact shape and give it the glide of a large board. Its volume with sophisticated distribution is however classically placed in the board with most of it between your feet and a super thin nose.

The perks of EPS Pro
Our new monolithic EPS Pro technology combining an ultra-dense EPS foam blank, Epoxy resin and 6oz carbon fibers produces boards of unprecedented lightness, dynamism and durability! This new construction specially developed for our strapless prone foiling boards transcend the phenomenal responsiveness of the Matata, in turns and when pumping. Extremely light and robust, this construction combines everything we want in a surf foiling board.
A reinforced construction
Intrinsically very solid thanks to the deployed technology, our EPS Pro foil surfboards are reinforced to meet the specific constraints of foiling: EPS blank with stringers, deck and hull laminated in carbon fiber, 5 layers of fiber on the rails to form a solid and dynamic frame and additional reinforcements on the foil boxes.
