GEAR: GET STARTED IN SURF FOILING!

To start smoothly in surf foiling, the ideal combination of gear is a foil that is tolerant and lifts at low-speed with a board that is easy to control and paddle like the Lance FSP 2X. Under these conditions, the sensations of surf foiling are accessible to most surfers, and quickly!

In recent years, many watersport enthusiasts have added a surf foil into their quiver. The main reason is to be able to evolve in conditions in which it would be impossible to surf with a conventional board. This enthusiasm for surf foiling can also be explained by the pleasure of discovering new sensations: immediate acceleration, continuous drive even in the softer sections and especially the intensity even in very small conditions! The icing on the cake, the practice of surf foiling is a complete game changer for your practice of conventional surfing (general improvement of your physical condition but also of your reflexes on the water).

Lance FSP 2X

To get started in foiling surfing, you have to meet only a few conditions (see our How To), but they are essential! Among these, a suitable board will guarantee constant progression. To this end, the Lance offers the ease and comfort of paddling that you need. Even very good foilers don’t connect all their waves by pumping, paddling is still part of the game to get back to the peak, especially when you are just starting out.

It is easy to control at take-off and is relatively tolerant with your stance. In addition, as it remains within standard length and width, it offers a huge room for progres. The hollowed out tail favors the take off but does not penalize the curves. The rounded point nose carries well but without heaviness thanks to the double concave under the hull which lightens and softens.

The Lance FSP 2X combines all the qualities to start and progress for a long time. You will have a hard time doing without these qualities, even as you progress 😉
