Our wing, surf foil and SUP boards in FSP Pro, FSP 2X and Wood 2X technology are full sandwich constructions!

This means that the entire foam blank is covered with an envelope composed schematically as follows: fiber layers / core material / fiber layers. It is the total presence of this core material and the multiple layers of fiber that give our boards an absolute strength that is far from being the norm on the market.

Indeed, we regularly observe during repairs of other brands in our workshop that the sandwich is generally limited to the deck of the board or even to the stance of the rider. The resistance to impact, compression and bending forces is therefore significantly lower than a full sandwich construction as applied on our Wood 2x, FSP 2X and FSP Pro boards. The advantage of the sandwich is its incomparable rigidity and very high mechanical strength, especially in compression. Additionally, the PVC core material on our FSP Pro and FSP 2X boards is hydrophobic. It therefore constitutes a protective layer if your fiber is severely damaged by rocks for example.

Given the intense and repeated stresses that a SUP undergoes in waves or strapped boards in aerial maneuvers, a full sandwich technology is essential to guarantee the durability of your gear. So we recommend checking this carefully before buying your next board, a knowledgeable rider can ride the same gear for a veeeeery long time 😉
