The first of January 2021 marked the end of the transition period in which the British continued to apply EU rules governing the single market and the customs. It was only at the end of December last year that a deal was reached between the United Kingdom and the European Union. So a lot of uncertainties had still to be answered in the past few weeks. Moreover, we had to find new solutions to deliver our large rigid boards and fixed paddles to the UK and Ireland as our partner Geodis doesn’t provide this specific service anymore.
Those packages will be delivered to the UK and Ireland by DHL from now on. This partnership allows us to deliver a large part of the Surfboards / SUP Boards in our range, and all Wing boards. But unfortunately this solution excludes boards larger than 9 feet. We’re working on a solution to solve this problem.
Please note the delivery time will be 72 hours. Orders are placed excluding VAT (goods and shipping costs). Customs and UK VAT costs will be collected by DHL via email before delivery.

Hello, could you confirm the commodity code 9506210000 for watersports equipment will appear on the invoice for customs clearance? As I think it will give UK customers a lot confidence that they can check this against the HMRC website that there is only the VAT and 2% third country duty to pay. There have been some horror stories of crazy duties being levied for purchases from the EU including VAT being paid twice.
So how much loner will it take to deliver to the UK
So will it now be possible of you to ship the same sized boards to other non EU countries outside Europe (for example Israel)?
I ordered a wing to Ireland just before the transition period ended, and was worried about the logistics situation as most channels pass through the UK. There was 2 weeks of disruption for everyone but Jaime from Gong reassured me that all would be well, and it was!
