HOW TO : cut back to 360 helico !!!
In most of cases, it is the way you enter a move that determinate the issue. It is definitely true for the 360° Helico.
In this case, which occure often, the wave doesn’t have a good shoulder and is very slow. So you have to make it hollow and powerful.
You know when you ride that you make create white water with your wake and your action on the face. You just have to use this property to make your surf better.
On this wave, l’Ours goes far on the shoulder to make a cut back. He does a cool one to keep speed and energy for the next move. Then he outs his board down the line and walk on it to the nose to enter a 360° Helicopter now the wave is powerful.
That permits him to make a powerful move in a slow part of the wave.
Key points are: keep speed because doing a 360° if you are slow is extra hard, keep your balance forward in the second part of the cut back to be able to walk fast to the nose, use the paddle as an anchor to turn around.
