This is a regular 360° helicopter but it starts in the white water.
We don’t really like this move because oftenly people push too much and do it without glide.
In this particular situation, we want to show it because it is windy and the swell breaks without offering shoulder. The take off is short and the white water is created instantely by the on shore wind.
You have the choice to do a re entry instead of this 360°, or a cut back after the section. But the helicopter omption could look fantastic if it is done well.
The key is to use the vertical part of the surf. The verticality is often the critical point of a great surf style. It works for 360° to. So you have to manage a vertical movement during your 360s if you want them beautifull.
To do it, walk to the nose during the take off and turn the board by pushing on your toes while this walk situation. So you will be on the nose and in the same time high in the wave face.
This is the key of a great glide in your 360° helicopters.
