GEAR: FULL GONG QUIVER FOR THE TOP 3 RIDERS IN FREEFLY-SLALOM!
Review of the equipment that propelled our team riders to the top 3 spots of the 2024 world rankings in Freefly-Slalom!
Victories and podium finishes kept rolling in for Francesco Cappuzzo, Julien Rattotti, and Bastien Escofet on the wing foil tour that celebrates speed, glide with freefly sections, and fluidity in maneuvers.
Securing the top three spots on the Freefly-Slalom Tour is a tremendous achievement—an understatement, considering the dedication of the riders and brands in this circuit, which serves as a benchmark for equipment development in wing foiling.
To compete at the top, you must be a driving force in this development, as any delay comes at a steep cost. Performance speaks for itself. Race incidents, seaweed, and changing conditions are challenges that must be navigated. Above all, success requires immensely talented riders who excel technically, strategically, and psychologically, paired with gear capable of dominating the pack.
Behind our riders who achieved this historic feat is a solid team pushing the boundaries of performance. These innovations are made available to you in our production models.
As we close out this Freefly-Slalom season, our riders were equipped with:
- Racer FSP Pro
- Droid Aramid and Aramid X wings
- Ypra Race setup (coming soon)

Illustrated feedback on the gear used by the Freefly-Slalom World Champion:
The Racer FSP Pro, with its sleek and gliding shape, enables early takeoff and provides stability when pushing hard at full tilt. The nose volume forgives touchdowns and supports the use of smaller foils, allowing for the highest speeds.

The powerful Droid Aramid X provided a decisive advantage for our riders when accelerating out of maneuvers. On the very short courses, featuring a freefly section with numerous maneuvers, jibes, and tacks, the versatile Droid Aramid X—also used by our riders in Surf-Freestyle—proved to be the obvious choice.

The Ypra Race, which you’ll soon be able to explore in detail (stay tuned here), is a precision machine designed for demanding riders aiming to perform at the highest level in competition. With its dedicated, uncompromising profile and high aspect ratio, this front wing excels in all areas of navigation: upwind reaches, fast downwind runs, and razor-sharp transitions.
