The Neutra 2026 has been profoundly redesigned with a completely reworked outline.
Wave riding has evolved enormously in wing foil and is no longer practiced only with a hand on the downwind handle. Grabbing the boom to engage a bottom turn, launch an air, or pull off tricks now enhances your sessions in the waves. This evolution has been acknowledged by the Wave Tour, which since this season allows riders to exploit the full power of the wing. Precision, maneuverability, and power have thus become essential qualities to perform in the surf. The Neutra’s revised outline highlights all these features while preserving the DNA of this iconic model in our range.
And the outline change is major: for a 4.5 m², the wingspan decreases by 25 to 28 cm depending on the construction (Dacron or Aramid), a huge difference. Squarer tips provide more stability and are set further back for greater control and maneuverability. The chord is lengthened (+7 cm on a 4.5 m²) to generate more torque and useful power.
The result? Reduced inertia, greater compactness, and an extended low end, delivering more reactivity in committed bottom turns and easier handling in all phases of riding. Explanations 👇

An optimized outline for wave riding
With a wingspan of 290 cm for a 4.5 m², the Neutra Boom 2026 is clearly more compact than its 2025 version (315 cm), as shown below, and even more so than the Droid Boom 2025 (292 cm). In Aramid construction, the smaller leading edge diameter allowed by this technology further reduces the wingspan to 287 cm (Neutra Aramid and Aramid X).
This reduction in wingspan shifts the surface:
- towards the center of the wing, with a chord extended by 7 cm (on a 4.5 m²), directly impacting the management of the wing’s draft.
- towards squarer tips, now pushed further back to close the wing more. The leading edge curves more near the ends, refining the overall design.
On-water behavior? These evolutions reduce the effective span and concentrate the surface toward the core of the wing. The draft remains perfectly set, steady, and readable in hand, resulting in clear and predictable pull. The Neutra thus gains in homogeneity and comfort, while retaining its DNA as a smooth and fluid wing.
The strong segmentation of the leading edge all the way to the last tip panel enables precise control of micro-twist. This remains limited and finely tuned: enough to absorb gusts and keep flexibility, but never to the point of shifting the traction point. The result is a more stable, softer wing that breathes naturally in every phase of riding.
With this optimized outline, the Neutra Aramid 2026 becomes more compact, more maneuverable, and more precise in its lines. It retains its unique ability to disappear completely in surf or freefly, while offering smooth glide and refined handling, perfectly aligned with its wave riding program.
