Why does the HIPE work better than its imitations?

The technical solution proposed by GONG to achieve the performance of a full rigid board is the use of a carbon ICS plate under our Woven Drop Stitch technology. In other words, it’s the combination of our expertise in composites and our extensive experience in inflatable technology. This combination ensures rigidity, lightness and strength. The role of the ICS plate, which is a gem of technological know-how, and which unlike poor copies covers the rider’s entire stance, is to eliminate any twist or flex in the inflatable structure around the foil box. The result is a board whose exemplary rigidity has been confirmed by numerous user feedbacks. No energy is wasted on the water, as the board reacts perfectly to every touch. You forget that you’re on an inflatable board when you’re on the water, but not when you have to put it away in your trunk – it’s amazing!
