GEAR : feedback on 9'8 Incredible EPS !!!

“A little experience feedback after a second session on my new IT 9’8 EPS with 60-80 cm Offshore this morning at Oléron – The finish is superb and the tail in wood makes all the difference. The shape is exactly what I like on a classic log : between 9’6 & 10′, and around 23” in width. -Very easy to paddle. Enough Rocker to paddle hard and fast. – East Take-Offs : you can take off from far outside even if the wave is a little steep with no fear of pearling the nose. – The bottoms and the carving is pleasant when maneuvering the Board like a classic. It’s just a game with your hips helped by the FCS II Hatchet 10″. – Cross Stepping flows with a lot of stability, once you get there you want to go all the way… Toes on the Nose… and that’s where you’ll find the magic. She goes fast. – Dumpy wave…no problem : drop knee cut-back. It flows easy. There are no dead points int he turns as there are with some of the more traditional classic Californians that I could feel. The EPS construction gives you a lively and really light Board. I think the 9’8 IT in PU would equally be superb to surf with a little more weight which will give you more inertia, but a little less lively.
