FORUM : the GONG spirit !!!

“Hello, My Accountant came to me with a question this morning demanding an explanation for our excellent results.
Without divulging the secret, I explained two key elements : 1/ My Staff : Every day that passes I show how intrinsically important my Staff is. 2/ Our spirit : I explained to him how our first and primary goal is not to make our Clients ‘Dream’ but to valorize them as individuals.
To help him understand better I made an example of when you meet someone. If you are trying to seduce by making someone dream, your story will take off quite quickly but will end with a vertiginous descent.
On the contrary, if your goal is to valorize the other, your story will have a fantastic future. Less dazzling, less flamboyant, but deeply more fulfilling… As long as you’re selling the ‘Dream’ you stay in the ephemeral. But when you value people, your can make them happy forever.
In the first situation you settle on selling your ego, while in the second case you are in fact re-enforcing the ego of others. I think this is the fundamental attribute that makes GONG so special.
Because if you dig deep into this fundamental, one must be true, impervious to ‘Snobbism’, and on must have values. In order to value the client, you must look towards the client and not yourself. Luxury Brands sell a large portion of their own ego. GONGs goal is to help develop your own ego. WE are helping people grow within our own passion domain.
And it’s not about look how beautiful I am. It is about look how much happier I can be. Concerning the management of my Staff, when recruiting, I systematically look for this quality : the desire to make others happy. Being proud of yourself is a key. To help you triumph and have less complexes. This is our job. For a Shape, some advice, communication that values your own experience.
