FORUM : Surfoil Allvator custom for kitefoiling !!!

The big advantage of the Allvator are the countless combinations available outside the standard pack. Set your Foil up the way you envision it with all the spare parts available and always at a GONG price. “I’ve been using this Foil for Kitesurfing for a while now, anytime I get the chance. We have a bar of soft, but super long waves off the coast. In 8-20 kts, I have ten times the fun as when I’m just on a surfboard. We’ve got like about 800m of possible turns to link, depending on if you’re alone on the peak because people don’t go out in light wind.
The big advantage of these surf wings when kiting is that you can fly when stopped. Yes, I basically fly in place, practically zero speed. I just need the slightest traction in the kite to stay in the air. It’s mind-blowing.
For a beginner this extreme lift makes it all easier, except for the water start. The wing has so much lift that it rears up suddenly unless you don’t push it down. The trick is to keep her flat and let her rise up as your speed increases. Because yes, she will fly just with the opposition to the kite, without speed.
The use of the Surf Stab is possible, but I prefer the Kite stabs because they bring the foil up less and make her more docile for water starts.
I use the big 90cm Mast for maximum carving. The power in the turns is mind-blowing. Do I fly in lighter winds? No, it’s not flagrant. I have the tendency to use more kite surface than with the Allvator Kite version that glides more and generates more apparent wind. Do I go slower? Not really, like about as fast as a good windsurf foiler. 20/222 knots easy, more if i’m being aggressive. But the advancing is that I can fly slower, a lot slower.
Is it solid? No problems to this day for us here at GONG. I do not jump with it but it does end up often int he shore break. Nothing broken or twisted, but prudence is always the best assurance against any damage.
The funny thing is that you can do it all with this single foil (and various wings). Surf, SUP, Kite, Wing……
Make note the the 80 L wing is far too big for kiting, I do not recommend it.
For 399€ it’s just amazing to have so many options and possibilities.
Don’t hesitate to stock up on the the extra pieces to make the ultimate combo for the feelings you’re going after.
