On the subject of the New Foils, the New line of Inflatable Surfboards, once again GONG is making your life easier by letting you benefit off our new buyers price.
The logic is simple : volume lowers price, so the more you buy from GONG, the less you pay. Because every year our growth allows us to get lower prices which have direct repercussions on you. Our price structure has been perfectly transparent since the beginning :
In general, the manufacturer wins 1, GONG wins 1 and the French State wins the Taxes. I do assume the fabricator swinging as much as GONG even if we are the conceivers, & the distributors. Value needs to be placed onto the Manuel Labor and deserves to be compensated. My discourse with the manufacturers is simple : I will not multiply your price by 4 or by 8 like many do. So make an effort and you will sell much, much more. The Fabricator feels, and is, respected and implicated in the entire filtering system just to you. On the other hand we ourselves manufacture many things ourselves, starting by the technology. So we generally offer a very precise specifications, timed, easy to quantify. So I know exactly what the manufacturers are earning. So it’s easy to share 50/50 plus taxes. In our job GONG, we pay the R&D, the creation of the product, the financing, the logistics, the administration of sales, the marketing, the communications, the Service after Sales and all related expenses. I imagine that this is around 50% of the cost, but definitely not 80% which we can see elsewhere.
In the same way the phony Shapers who put a logo on a pre-machined design in Asia do not deserve to earn 50% of your earnings. It’s easy to make believe that you are a hotshot behind a nicely done website. But the real job of the Shaper is to help people to have fun by helping them evolve. Buying Pre-Manufactured Shapes in China does not make you a good Shaper who knows how to find the solution to every problem. At GONG you are investing in proven functionality since 1996. If you’re looking for false prestige then it is not GONG that you need tone coming to. There are Brands that invest a ton of money in creating the illusion of prestige when you buy their products. GONG concentrates fully on the utilitarian aspect of our products.Our entire concept is to not make you over pay your ticket to play.
To be clear, with GONG you’re paying for what your Board can offer you in the water, not the chance to show off on the beach. Being a Surfer means being a part of a community. Of course we could integrate them into this community… but at GONG we beat the drum for those who are cool but you’d never know it. A community based purely on the pleasure derived from trying to surf the best you can, sharing and a Marine Culture and a good sense of humor from water people who recognize each other. Knowing how to produce quality, and by respecting the people, from Sander to Surfer, all while offering the lowest prices, it’s the alternative that GONG has to offer.
