FORUM : feedback on Karamba PU !!!

Got another session in today. I dropped in my Reactors, which gave her a bit more character.
This Board is really making fall back in love with Shortboarding and I’m re-discovering some forgotten sensations, especially in imperfect conditions (multi-peaked, juice, some chop, side & even onshore winds…) but the real charm was the fact that nobody was in the water.
Todays take offs were made in some semi hollow man sized waves, which were easy, paddling still easy and take-offs secured. Slightly more complicated with the duck dives like entered before (and which we do a lot of in these conditions) but whatever, you can’t have it all.
I’m still taming her and she demands some finesse concerning her driving and my stance, which is isn’t really front or back but a subtle mix of the two : for accelerating and getting through sections or linking bottoms you can be well on the rail while still maintaining your speed and accelerate. I still haven’t been able to radicalize my rollers off the lip like I would like to project, but like I said, you can’t have it all especially with my body type (68/69 KG, 1,74m) and my classic surf style and the fact I haven’t been on a Board like this for the last 22 years.
I’m stoked enough to no the going out in SUPSurf and I intend on keep this up for the near future, and maybe with an Alu this fall where i’ll drop 5L… and of course I’l keep my 9′ Log in single of course.
To sum it up, I’ll get back to you, but I’m surprised to not have seen more feedback on this Board before considering she fulfills her description cause I’m loving it.”
