FORUM : feedback on GONG Kite !!!

“Hello,
It’s been about a year since I’ve had my Draw 7 and 13.
I’m 90% of the time Strapless Surfing now and these kites work well for me.
2015 Pie GONG and a board from another brand. The strongest point for me with the Draw is the re-launch.
I use them often when I’m not familiar with the waterscape or want to have my return fully insured. Even when I get my lines all tangled up or end up having to body drag back in.
Fronts crossed but not the back lines88 I ask myself how I even got into the situation. I find that they are also aging well and for the moment were problems.
I store them after drying and out of the sun and don’t even rinse them.
With the 13m you shouldn’t hesitate playing around with the adjustments. I found it slow and not powered (on Lake 8-12kts) I took the back lines to the edge and the front lines further from center and quite frankly I really felt the difference with a nice big Bar and 25m lines. When the Draw falls there is n’t nothing left out there besides the Foilers and scrubs…. and not all of them.
Re-launching in 8 kts needs good feet, a heavy hand on the front lines, turn her over on her back, she rolls and…… up with finesse, back on it.
If you don’t got the feet them you’ll have to wait for the gust. And I do have other Brands besides GONG (that I’ve previously owned and some I keep). I believe that GONG gear is really good and very well placed for the price.
The only difficulty I found was not being able to form an opinion by testing and and not being aware enough to choose the right gear that corresponds to my needs and then make the adjustments needed. There is also other good equipment out there but double the budget. There you go, I’m not an Ambassador, but I did want to express my satisfaction as far as being a client.
