The excellent glide of the Zuma is its major asset, along with its wing foil / SUP foil versatility, as Raphael could appreciate during his debut in wing foiling. An essential quality for stable take-offs backed by an easy to manage speed. Here is his feedback:

“I have just, with regret, parted with my Zuma to switch to a smaller board (Lemon!). Having bought the Zuma 6’9 for my 98Kg, I have never regretted my choice. I was looking for an easy board, stable without being too heavy to start, my Zuma corresponded exactly to what I was looking for, and more.

First time on the water was very positive.

All doubts were dissipated from the first meters standing. I thought it’s perfect, I did not invest for nothing! Of course, I don’t fly from the get go. But I managed to do so during the first session. In my eyes thanks to its glide which I think is its greatest strength!

It was not necessarily something I had paid attention to when making my choice, but nevertheless it was this glide that allowed me to take off so quickly and have my first flights from the first session: The glide on the water is such that picking up speed during the glide to flight transition is super smooth and predictable.

I was also happy to have also bought a helmet from GONG: Taking off is one thing, maintaining the flight is another. But what a pleasure! So yes it’s a big board (in size 6’9) but the construction is light and the handle well placed so no problem transporting it, at least from the car to the beach.

In short, a magic board for beginners and much more.”
