FEEDBACK: WING FOIL BOARD LEMON FSP PRO

Comparative feedback from Julien who was able to test the glide of the new Lemon FSP Pro 4’9 in the low range compared to that of his Mint 4’8.

“I went from the Mint 2021 4’8 to the Lemon 2022 4’9 (same volume). In 2021, the Lethal was a hit and many 2022 boards are taking over some of its DNA. This is the case of this new Lemon which changes a lot and becomes kind of a sober version of the Lethal.

When comparing the photos of the 2021 and 2022 models of the Lemon we can see that it has become more refined, with a tail inherited from the Lethal and different rails as well.

What I was hoping for when switching from Mint to Lemon was to gain in glide and therefore have a better low range. I could test it this morning in a complicated wind with a maximum of 15 knots and quite a few wind holes at times. My gear for the test:

  • Lemon 4’9, obviously 😉
  • Neutra V2 5m
  • Foil Fluid XL + kite 45

First impression when getting on it, obviously it’s a little more unstable than the Mint (it shrinks from 68cm wide to 63.6cm) but nothing too complicated.

And there, it gliiiiiiiiides super well. From the first gusts, the board picks up speed and takes off easily.

The Lemon + Neutra V2 combo works wonders. The touchdowns are softer than with Mint, the refined nose has something to do with it.

The volume is well distributed and this new tail is super efficient.

Obviously you have to get used to the positions again and maybe adjust the straps a bit, but this first sail thrilled me despite the light wind and I can’t wait to get back to the water with different conditions to test all of its abilities.

Small bonus at the end of the session, the wind completely died down, which earned me a small swimming session of 500m. I was then able to test the Lemon’s ability to paddle which is also very good ;). ”
