FEEDBACK: WING DROID 2022
Feedback from Marion on our forum who was could test the Droid in 6m in a wind that was too light and irregular for her usual 5m².
“Rather used to 5m² as my largest wing, I was lent a 6m² Droid which rather surprised me and in a good way!
It is a wing with a lot of forward torque, reactive in gusts, while keeping a balanced and soft power in hand.
I mainly compare it to freestyle sails in windsurfing, with their on/off power. It accelerates more in gusts and the back hand moves between the penultimate and the last handle. In the gusts, I was more on the back handle, and other than in the gusts, on the penultimate handle.
Its reduced wingspan allows you to ride a 6m² without difficulty, to have fun in light wind sessions… When the wind picks up, the wing holds up very well without being bothered by its size.
For beginners, do not hesitate! This wing will accompany you for a long time whether it is for your beginnings, to progress and/or to improve your navigation technique or in jumps!
