Light wind session with the Veloce H
“I thought that I would provide a quick first impression of the V3 Veloce M-H (890 cm2) for wing foiling. So far I have only had a chance to try it for a couple of hours in relatively light conditions, but I like what I have experienced.
FW: Veloce H V3 (size M - 890)
Stab: Veloce H V3 M
Mast: HM 85 V2
Board: a board similar to GONG Cruzader Diamond, but a little wider.
Wing: 6m from another brand.
Wind: 5-15 knt, avg 9-11 knt
Rider: 70 kg”
Faster and much better glide
“I was surprised at how easy it was to get up on foil in light conditions. I had trouble staying on foil during some of the lulls, but overall I was very impressed. I would say that the lift is less than the Curve H V2 L (1100), but much better than the Curve H V2 S (700). Speed seemed to be as good (or better) than the Curve H V2 S (700) and glide was much better. It is much faster than the Curve H V2 L. I probably didn't have enough wind to get a good glide comparison between the Veloce and the Curve H V2 L. The stall speed for the Veloce was definitely higher than for the Curve H V2 L. It also seemed to drop off foil more abruptly, which isn't too surprising given the higher aspect ratio. Turning for the Veloce was pretty good, although it can't compare to the Curve with the short Freestyle stab.”
