FEEDBACK: VELOCE L-H / NEUTRA 3,5M

Patrick paired a Veloce L-H Front Wing with a Neutra 3,5m. Here is his feedback.

“I use the Wing Veloce LH combo with the Fluid H38 Stab for a speed gain, with less lift than the H42 for my 65kg and a smaller turn curve ratio.
With this combination you get speed, reactivity and grip (low curve ratio), the reactivity and grip being present at low speed as well as at high speed and this independently of the weather conditions of the spot.
The H42 Fluid and Veloce LH combo works just as well (speed, reactivity, grip) with a higher weight (tested at 80.85 kg on v2 carbon 85 mat, the curve ratio is excellent). The quality of the foil in the surf allows you to fully focus on wave and swell reading.
I didn’t want an HA foil that would be faster than swell or waves. Well, I got exactly what I wanted. A foil that’s all about surfing. Speed and reactivity of the Veloce L-H is systematically matched by the quality of the swell and wave.
It takes off smoothly and easily in a low wind range for my 65 kgs and if the wind is not strong enough, you can make your takeoff simply by gliding on a wave like you would with SUP or surf foiling gear. So, a Neutra 2023 3,5m should allow me to sail in all conditions. A friend of mine (82 kgs) purchased a Carbon Mast 85cm, a Veloce L-H and Fluid H 42cm Stab and came to the same conclusion in the low wind range.
When pumping, I found all the pleasure of my first foil.
It goes up vertically. You can stay high at very low speed and go for a very tight jibe. You can also stay at the top of a wave and, after reading the trajectory of the wave, go right or left by simply leaning the foil forward a few degrees.
Generating speed is instantaneous with a true feeling of drive.
If needed, you can ride steep waves all the way until the bottom, the foil will keep a great pumping ability, will allow you to get back on track and will avoid getting washed out by a lack of reactivity and speed.
With this setup, you come out of a wing session with the same feeling as after a surfing or SUP foiling session. In harmony with the swell and the wave. The true engine is the foil and not the wing!
That’s exactly what I was looking for since my foil beginnings. To find my sensations as on a shortboard or on a SUP when conditions don’t allow me to go for such a session.”
