Feedback from Tytouan who was able to test the SuperPower V2 and the SuperPower 2023 in quick succession thanks to the presence of a GONG ambassador on his spot.

“Hi there ! Little feedback from the Superpower 2023 6m tested this weekend thanks to Yohann (GONG ambassador)!
Conditions: Very very variable winds, between 5 and 20 knots, relatively strong moments, and moments with almost nothing. The video shows handling the wing for the first time, I hadn’t even handled it on the front deck! The video is 3 minutes long, so these are the first 3 minutes of browsing!
Equipment: Front wing Curve XLT, Stab Véloce 47, Carbon Mast 85cm, Lemon 5’0 2021 board, rider 87kg without equipment for 1.90m.
“Another world!”
I started the session with the SuperPower V2 6m, which I was trying for the first time, I really appreciated the power it brought to the pumping on takeoff. I could hold on to it without worries in the gusts, nothing to report, a very healthy wing! And then I switched to the 2023 version… Another world!
3 pumping strokes and it takes off, I am directly surprised by the stiffness of the spinnaker! Once it catches the wind, it is super tense, the pumping is ultra efficient, both on takeoff and in soft conditions! Switching from one ear to the other is natural, much smoother than on the V2. To go upwind, it delivers very good power, and heads up better than the V2, I tried it with a harness, and it was perfectly balanced (possibility of letting go of one hand, or even both!).
It’s quite disconcerting to have such power, without forcing more than that! The only little thing that bothered me, but which I think is a matter of habit, is the positioning of the front handle, as the central strut is not straight, it is not on the same plane as the rear handle. As for the windows, the new concept of transparency above the central strut is really excellent, great visibility, the spot was very busy, and that’s a big plus in terms of safety!”
