FEEDBACK : STAND UP PADDLE 7'8 KARMEN PRO !!!

“I have now tested my Karmen 7’8 PRO in Cote Basque. Beautiful shape and finish and really light, 5,1 kg with pad. The board is on the bigger side for my 63 kg but I wanted a board that I could surf also at home in Sweden, in choppy, windy and slow mushy waves. The balance and paddling out is relatively easy, better than the Curve and similar to the Mob. The Karmen gets through whitewater and wind easier than the Mob. Takeoff is really much better than the Curve and similar boards. It doesn’t tilt the nose as the Curve can when paddling into steeper waves. It can handle vertical takeoffs with ease. Really vertical! Acceleration is good and it turns well in big and sharp turns, also with some speed. At high speed and big waves I could be better of with the 7’3. This board bumps and is a bit nervous to keep in control because I am lightweight. But for small and medium sized waves, steep or flatter, it is really a joy to surf if you have some previous experience on shorter boards. I can really push in the bottom turns to get some extra speed, it keeps the speed better than the Curve. Almost like the Clouds, but it turns sharper. I haven’t tried it at home yet but I am sure it will be at least as good as my Mob 7’2, which is the same width and volume. I used 3 fins only, FCS JS thrusters and the Gong FCS original back fin.” SUPer : Magnus and his GONG SUP 7’8 Karmen PRO.
