Comparative feedback of the Pro Fluid H Stabs in size 38 and 42 by Ardien on our Facebook page.
“Feedback on the Fluid 38 and 42 Pro Stabs. Rider 72kg, confirmed level, wind from 8 to 30 knots, Front Wing Veloce XL-T and Fluid M and S. Around 25 sessions, either in waves, flat condition or also sloppy, choppy and messy ones.
Common points:
- Big difference with the classic fuselage. The glide is much better. If we had to compare it with a bicycle, it’s like switching from a dirt track to a perfectly new asphalt. It’s much more pleasant, it glides with a lot of pleasure. We’re going a little faster too, but that’s not the main point.
- They are more demanding, require more finesse in the piloting at the risk of making them stall. It also takes a little more glide to take off, but this remains negligible once tamed.
- Much more pop in jumps.
- A little too much front foot as soon as you start speed runs. I have not yet tried the Veloce H range to compare.
- At lower speeds, particularly when surfing, more rear foot with identical mast foot setting.
Differences:
- The H42 for my weight is super comfortable whether in light winds, below 14 knots associated with the Veloce XL-T, or in surfing and maneuvers associated with the Fluid M.
- The H38…. Big difference! Way more demanding technically and physically. On the other hand, you let go of the horses. With the Fluid M, it goes much faster than the 42. And, associated with the Fluid S, it becomes insane! You literally cross the chop without feeling anything and it goes really fast. Small flaw, the lift that it brings at high speed (more front foot) is sometimes difficult to manage. I suffered a couple of epic wipe-outs at full speed…
In conclusion, certainly a little more demanding, but once the learning phase is over, there’s no turning back.
Really a nice development of the range. Just awesome!”
