FEEDBACK: STAB CURVE PRO CLEAR 46cm

Switching the stab strengthens or softens the character of your front wing. Our ambassador Gabriel, 67 kg, shares his experience with the Front Wing Curve XL which he wanted to fine tune for the low range by combining it with the Stab Curve Pro Clear 46cm.
“Here’s my feedback on the new Stab Curve Pro Clear 46cm.
Light wind set up
My goal is to have a set up suitable for light wind conditions. I paired it with the Front Wing Curve XL front wing. It is incredibly stable and responds perfectly to my needs. In light winds, I need a gust of 11/12 knots to take off and then 8/9 knots to keep flying comfortably with the Superpower 6m². With this stab, the jibes are very easy and safe. The big plus is the handling when flying, especially at the end of the jibe. In light winds, when I am on the verge of stalling, it is the critical moment and there I gain a few meters of flight.
I was able to compare with the Stab Surf Pro Clear 2020 in 45cm (400cm²) and the Stab Kite Pro Clear 2020 in 45cm (270cm²), knowing that it is 340cm². Compared to the big Stab Surf Pro Clear, it is more efficient at all levels. Compared to the Stab Kite Pro Clear, I’m losing speed, that’s clear, but I have a more gentle foil that holds up much better in light winds.
I’m very happy with this stab.
In the end, with super light winds, I will take the Stab Curve 46cm for sure and as soon as the wind is picking up, I’ll take the Stab Kite 45cm. ”
