“Surf foil session on the SCURA 5'10, Veloce H V3 M, and Fluid M stab.
Glassy conditions, solid meter in the sets, round waves but not hollow. The Scura/Veloce combo is a real gem… so smooth and easy to handle...
The board smoothes out all the annoying physical aspects: tendinitis, shoulder pain, lower back discomfort... Its 5'10 length is hardly noticeable, and on the contrary, you feel confident on take off and at ease surfing the wave.
You don’t feel the length, even though it’s longer than a small surf foil... but still... I didn’t notice much inertia. Plus, with the position of the box, we’re more towards the front than the back...
I made the same turns as usual, but I was more relaxed on my take offs, and positioning me at the peak was a real pleasure.
The paddling speed is really excellent, and the cherry on top is that for duck dives... the slim nose easily glides under the water.
The bevels on the rails are perfect for holding the board, and the glide is smooth during take off. It accelerates gently, you pop, and off you go!”
Veloce/Fluid foil setup under the Scura
“This will now be my main board.
Additionally, the gap between the SUP and this board is now very comfortable.
The Veloce and Fluid stab combo worked wonders. Both in size M, the turns and the repop at the end of maneuvers are addictive.
You really get the impression of having an electric motor that never stops.
When needed, you can pump to relaunch, as the Veloce generates lift, and I was able to connect several waves without any problem, despite my 86 kg.
And the glide is definitely there.
However, unlike the Ypra-S, which I loved and could really push hard with the tips in every big turn, I don’t feel that same sensation with the Veloce V3.
I was feeling super confident and really laid into it.
Even in some hollow reform waves.
It accelerates, sure, but you can still turn safely without getting thrown off or feeling a huge push on the tips.
Big big crush for this combo...
Honestly, we're really blessed because no matter which board we ride, we're getting amazing sensations and seing a real evolution in the gear.
With friends, we're searching for flaws, but frankly we're still looking...
Because of course, objectively speaking, there have to be faults, but clearly... we don't see any.🤔⚠️
