“As a former high-level windsurfer, it’s the sail that I appreciate the most and which comes closest to the sensations in windsurfing and in particular for those coming from camber sails.
It is a super versatile wing.
It has 2 fiber battens, on either side of the central strut, which you can use or not depending on what you are looking for.
In light and gusty winds, I prefer to use it without the battens. Gain in lightness, flexibility for better pumping, and more torque for better responsiveness to the slightest gust. On the other hand, when the wind rises and it becomes stronger, I add them to stiffen the profile and therefore benefit 100% from the performance of the sail. Better upwind, more top speed (continuous power) and stability.
This is the 5m² wing I prefer for my personal use.
Its power is balanced on both hands and is felt. Possibility for those who wish, to put on a harness line to push it even harder while resting the little forearms ;)”
