A Plus 7m² is now part of Frédéric’s quiver for light wind days. Here is his feedback.

Wing foiler : Malo, team rider GONG, with the Plus and Lemon FSP Pro.

“I was able to test the 5m² Plus and I acquired the 7m² personally. My quiver is the following for 2023: 3.5, 4.5 and 5.5 in Neutra 2023 and 7m² Plus 2023. For my size, the range of use of the Neutra 5.5 2023 and Plus 7m 2023 is the same on paper: 10-20 knots for my 85kg. In fact, the 7 takes off much earlier and is much easier to pump than the 5.5.

This Plus 2023 is really great

In light wind (10-17 knots) I prefer it to the Pulse and the Superpower because it is above all much “simpler” and lighter. It’s really easy to get going, it is very comfortable, there are no surprises. It clearly has power, especially in this size. The handling is really great. It’s still a 7m² but its ergonomics, its shape and its lightness greatly facilitate handling. Finally, its construction is very solid, no problem so far for the cheapest wing in the range. It is clearly less rigid than a Neutra 2023 but in this wind range and this freeride style of sailing for me, 10-17 knots is more than enough.

I was also able to test the 5m² this summer which I found very pleasant. However I preferred the Neutra 2023 for my program (waves/jumps) for the smaller sizes and the stronger wind. Finally I would conclude that this Plus 2023 is not a wing only for beginners, far from it. It allows you to do a lot… not far or the equivalent of a Neutra v2 for those who know ?, tack jumps… even in 7m² are possible. My Plus 7m² 2023 is clearly the extension of my Neutra v2 6m² from last year. I find a similar feeling but in 7m². So that’s all good. I will not describe the Neutra 2023 because so much has already been said and they do not exist beyond 5.5m ?.
