Transition from the classic Neutra to its Team Series version in UPE Aramid for Tiare who shares his first impressions.

Conditions and equipment
“Test of the new Neutra 5.5 m2 UPE Aramid wing. Spot: Carantec (North Finistère), flat, wind from the south/southwest (offshore wind), irregular at 12/20 knots. Rider: 66kg. Board: HIPE Pro 4’6. Foil: HM92 mast, Ypra-S M front wing, stab Fluid 42cm.”
Lightness and comfort of the boom
“First impression after inflation: super stiff! A real “sheet metal”, light (not weighed but seems lighter than my Neutra RH 5m2), compact (wingspan smaller than the Neutra RH 5 m2), for me the boom is a novelty (never practiced windsurfing) very pleasant: increased maneuverability in maneuvers, easier tacks, possibility of navigating with one hand…”
Power, heading, rigidity, compactness and handling
“Wing with a thinner profile: better upwind and crazy heading allowing trajectories that could confuse other users on the spot. Very satisfactory power, but manageable in gusts without being pulled too much, better lift and hang time in jumps even if the conditions for testing the jumps were not the best.
In short, only positive things for a first 90-minute navigation, to summarize: power, heading, rigidity, compact and manageable”.
