Immediately delivered, immediately tested! Mathieu shares his feelings after a first session on his brand new Mob Rad FSP Pro 7’2.

“My Mob 7’2 Rad arrived just before 2 days of marginal conditions with a short and (very) small swell. So I got straight to the heart of the matter! For my 75kg, good level, this 7’2 Rad begins to enter the category of 3D balance. It seems to me more demanding than the previous version. With the rounder and more refined nose and the hollow tail, the balance is closer to that of the Fatal.
It remains a reassuring shape,
there is width and stability, but you have to stay active so as not to make mistakes. For wave catching I struggled a bit, but coming from a year of sessions almost exclusively on the Zero 8’5 which is a bomb in paddling it is not surprising. I have to recalibrate myself for a board that is slower and with row effect. In surfing, I was amazed to be able to turn so easily in such poorly formed waves. As Patrice says “the rollers are bim bam boom”
The really distinctive thing about this board is that it fills up with energy very quickly. We can go for a turn with almost no speed and without losing the rest of the wave because its acceleration is extraordinary. It turns relatively flat, but that’s what allows it not to burn too much speed, it skids easily in the tail slide, but without losing control, which helps to keep the rhythm.
In short, this warm-up is more than promising. I think GONG is holding a very big HIT with this board!!”
