FEEDBACK: MINT 4’6 !!!

Feedback on the Mint in its smallest size by Basco on our forum, a lightweight rider that wants to keep comfort.

“Feedback of my first sessions with the Mint 4’6 (65 liters for 63 cm wide).

“Lightness and a great shape”

First of all, a few pre-sailing remarks: The packaging is great, fast delivery, lightness and a grate shape of the board (for the decoration I would like something more sober, just one color with a stringer line and a logo, but I am old fashion in regards to surfboard designs 😉 ).

A little surprised by the feel of this size … 4’6 is short. The idea was, given my age (very, very old) and my build (170cm / 63kg), to stay on 60-65 liters with a bit of width for stability.

“The small size is very easy to manage”

I get on my knees on the board and surprise, the small size is very easy to manage! You can even play on it. Being able to sink the front a bit on demand becomes helpful when grabbing the rear handle of the wing. The 63 cm wide is also impeccable, neither too much nor too little.

The start with or without pumping according to the wind is that of a 4’6, therefore energetic. I often ask myself the question of the rear heel underneath, which reduces the surface of the board and therefore the speed to glide …

“Nervousness and handling at the top”

Once in the air, of course, the smallness is super pleasant: nervousness and handling at the top. The width here too gives room especially in maneuvering.

In conclusion, this Mint 4’6 is a good board. Excellent proportions for small riders who can have a small board without the difficulties of small volumes and width.

Good sessions to all. ”
