I had the Matata in 5’6 and its paddling was fast, but the placement on the board was super important to optimize it. Too cumbersome to surf (for me), I tried the 5’2, and I entered another dimension!!! I now surf on tiny days with a 4’8.?

As a longboard it’s faster when rowing, making the small soft waves surfable and fun but with the Matata you can even surf shorebreak waves, which is not possible if you have too much length… So it all depends on the program targeted, but the Matata will bring a dynamic and reactive side on very soooooooft waves that a longer board would not allow. ? ? ?”
