First lowkite session for François-Xavier on the Plus V2, who chose to start with his wing foil board from the get-go.

“First session today with my parawing. After about an hour on the Droid X 5m, I decided to try my Plus V2 parawing in 4m. My goal is to be able to ride with my usual wing gear, so I totally went for it : Ypra Surf 820, Surf-Freestyle S stab, and Cruzader Point 5'4 77L — for an 82 kg rider.”

First flights and first maneuvers

“Getting started wasn’t easy — I needed a good gust and a bump to take off — but once flying, I was perfectly powered and making upwind angles close to what I get on my wing. Pretty satisfied with this first session: the parawing is really stable in flight, and I wasn’t getting yanked around in the gusts. With a bit more practice, I should be able to take off in lighter wind. You really need to pump with the board, keeping the wing high to get lift. Jibes worked well after 2–3 tries, stow and relaunch were smooth and predictable. Really happy with my purchase: accessible for someone just getting into the sport, and still high performing. Can’t wait for the next session!”
