Our GONG ambassador Yohann renewed his surf foiling quiver with the new Lethal FSP Pro in 4’6 for 36 liters. Here are his first impressions after two sessions.

“Second session on the Lethal prone foiling board 4’6″. I weigh 98kg and I come from the Lethal 4’8 2021.
New full deck pad
“So we clearly remain in the same range of feeling with the same glide on the water that I already appreciated with the previous model. So no major change but little improvements here and there that I really appreciated. There’s the new full deck pad of course, which I appreciate even more in surf foiling than in winging as I often surf without booties. Though it’s a bit shorter, this new board has taken a tiny bit of volume compared to the one I had, so I don’t really feel any loss in paddling comfort, it just disrupted my placement during the first session, with 2″ less, pumping is not radically improved either, especially returning to the Curve XL-H Fluid H 38 after so much time spent pumping with the Sirus (and most of the time with the Sirus 50 stab).
Improvement in paddling comfort
“What I noticed the most in the end was a small improvement in comfort when paddling and clearer when getting on the board, especially for the duck dives (this is where it really struck me first) or the handling in the water. The little extra angle behind the bulb which runs all the way to the tail gives a surprisingly pleasant grip.”
New colors
“The last good surprise is the new colors, which the photos don’t do justice to at all and which is really to my taste. The big disadvantage of that is that I haven’t dared to use wax (well, for the moment I haven’t missed it with the new pad). Now every time I see a sunscreen stain I have to clean it ”
