FEEDBACK: LETHAL FSP PRO

Hesitating between the volume of a Lethal 4’6 and a Lethal 4’10 for an already advanced level of practice, Vincent, 72kg, favored the sensations over comfort with the 4’6. Here is his feedback.

“I was able to spend 3 hours on the water so I can tell you my first impressions
I was suggested by GONG support to go with the 80l board. That would be more rational and I would be more comfortable riding it.
The new small board (Lethal 4’6) is quite unstable when there is almost no wind. On the lake, there are no waves so it is probably easier than at the sea but on the other hand, the water is heavier at the sea so it will probably help a bit.
“It comes to the surface quite easily.”
However, when there is at least some wind it is not a problem to stand on the board – it comes to the surface quite easily (at least without waves). When there is enough wind to foil, it leaves the surface with ease and I managed to foil and jibe without much problems (even the first time I used it). My friend says that it seems to him that I can foil now with less wind than the last time I was using 95l Mint (same foil & wing, 10 days ago).”
Back on the forum after several sessions, the first impressions are confirmed:
“After many more sessions, I am pretty happy with my decision to buy the 65l Lethal.
It works for me quite fine in the flatwater but also has no issues in a choppy sea. It is a bit harder to mount it but nothing I can’t deal with and I do like the liveliness and the pumpability of the board.
Its narrowness enables me to make tight turns and combined with my Fluid foils I feel this setup works wonders for me. Even with the Fluid XLS I can foil around 10 kts without problems and even with the Fluid XXLT I can still ride comfortably in the 20ish kts.I am still waiting for a proper strong-wind session to test this board with the Fluid XLS and new small hand wing in the strong wind and big waves but as the autumn is here it will come soon ”
