Looking for more comfort when stationary, Fred switched from the Lethal FSP Pro 5’1 to the Lemon FSP Pro 5’0 2022. Here is his feedback after his first sessions on the Lemon.

“Lately the Mistral and the South East wind have blown strongly on the spots of Marseille and its surroundings, making the bodies of water difficult, with a cross swell and a lot of back wash, a real bubbling pot. I have to admit that I sometimes struggle and exhaust myself after a few hours of getting back on my board (Lethal 5’1 95L) in choppy waters. The Lethal is a killer in many areas, flying start, maneuverability, DW surfing and jumping. Nevertheless, I do fall from time to time when starting on my knee… having to make several attempts… fatigue not helping.

So I bought a Lemon 2022, alos in 95L, hoping for more comfort. This one is a bit shorter, 5’0 against 5’1 but wider by 1cm on each side with above all a larger volume and width on the nose, a tail also more square and wider.

“It takes off as early and fast as my Lethal”

Bingo! Good surprise because I still had some concerns before trying it! It takes off as early and fast as my Lethal, the Lemon 2022 now has a similar tail as the one of the Lethal which doesn’t stick to the water. In the air I did not feel much difference at my level. It’s short and compact, a delight in DW and surf. The difference is frank on the other hand on the moments when I stall, porpoise or in reception of jumps. It bounces back when landing whereas the Lethal was more likely to nose dive. This is probably due to its width and its greater volume than the previous one.

Stability

Exactly what I was looking for, much better stability in pre-flight, without compromising performance. In jumping it works perfectly and landings seem easier. It forgives a lot more than a Lethal on which you have to be more precise. So far I can’t find any fault with it. It does not handicap me in surfing or other, on the contrary it facilitates the session.”
