“I would have loved to have this board when I first started.”
“I had the opportunity to test a Lance 5’8 on which a friend was doing his first session. Not the kind of board I would normally use as I’ve been winging intensively for two years now.
I was only sailing my buddy’s gear upwind to spare him a long walk back in conditions that were not great for learning.
Well, it turned out to be a very interesting experience! It’s crazy how easy it is, especially its stability when getting on the board and grabbing the wing. I must say it’s very relaxing compared to the “stability” of my usual board 😅 Despite very choppy conditions, it was super easy to stand on it at standstill. Take-off went in auto-pilot mode with the Rise in size L under the board, that was a very relaxing luxury too 😉
The most surprising thing was the rebound on the chop. It forgives all touchdowns and takes off again immediately. As it is quite compact for its size, I even had fun freeflying on my way back to the beach.
I would have loved to have this board when I first started. I definitely recommend it to beginners.”
