FEEDBACK: THE NEUTRA IN THE WAVES !!!
The Neutra, a new entry in the range, has quickly established itself as a top choice, namely among our ambassadors. François reveals his first impressions in the waves with the Neutra!
“It all started with a beautiful morning, the sun was coming out, but we could feel stormy weather approaching. I headed for the spot to join my friends, the wind was there. We had 20/30 in the morning and then 15/25 in the afternoon. The swell was still present, and the conditions were therefore perfect to test this beautiful Neutra.
LT front wing underfoot with my stab kite, and off I was with the 4m! The low end is really exemplary … it takes off super easily in 20 knots LT for my 86kg … The upwind performance is bluffing, as is the speed. You can really hold the Wing vertically to go fast, it doesn’t flinch, it’s very stable, very balanced.
The position of the handles is really perfect, in the gusts I was even able to test position number 2 for the rear hand (low power) and it is also very balanced, almost as if I had the rear hand as a harness and that I could let go of my hand before … just great! Comfort is therefore amazing with this Neutra!
In the jibes, the Wing is very responsive, very light. Perfect for going for snappy turns on the wave heading towards me. While surfing I put the Wing in neutral… Immediate feeling of stability and that will be the case throughout my session with the 4 and 5.
At no time during the session did the Wing turn over during the surf phase … And I have often known that with other wings that were lent to me for example … It was not that disturbing but I frankly prefer to have a wing that stays in its initial position.
The spinnaker flaps at times, depending on the position of the kite during the surf, but frankly it does not affect the stability of the Wing at all, it only makes a little noise. A key point also which is very positive on this Neutra, and which was not the case on the Pulse 2020 for example, is that in waves, the position of the handle on the leading edge, but especially its “flexibility” means that even after 4 hours of surfing, your hand does not bleed and will never have rubbed on the leading edge during the session. And that’s a treat!
The session will be repeated in 5m, just as pleasant as with the 4m, exactly the same behavior, even in the bad gusts… The position of the handles is ideal.
I won’t hide from you that after 2 hours in 4 m, taking a 5 is a bit confusing at the start … The 4 is a real toy, the 5 a little less handy but it makes sense. If I had started the session on the 5 I would not have had this feeling.
In short, I am completely won over by this Wing, and I give it a very good rating on all counts. The end of the session is just as remarkable, when you have to hurry to get home… The inflation valve on the central strut is enjoyable … You count to 10 and you can already repack, awesome !!! !!”

Ayant essayé la Neutra en 6m , pour la première fois ce week-end, en Zuma 6´6 et Rise xl ( je fais 85kg ), je confirme sa bonne tenue même dans du vent fort. On a une wing puissante à peine on pompe et très franche dans les rafales ( on est pas surpris ) rien à voir avec ma Plus 7m et qui va rester au garage . Fin de sessions en Hipe 5´3 et Rise L après échange de matos et là génial la Neutra m’a fournie toute la puissance nécessaire ( décollage aussi rapide à ma surprise !!! ) et là : régalade totale avec la Hipe !!!! J’ADORE ???
