FEEDBACK: KITEBOARD LETHAL FSP 2X

The Lethal FSP 2X is the shape that will offer you the best performance in side-shore conditions, which does not prevent it from demonstrating excellent performance in other conditions, as Jean-Pierre explains in his feedback.

“After 3 sessions (between 10 and 30 knots) with the new Lethal 5’9, here are my impressions: a very nice light and rigid board, which seems strong with its central batten, and which works in all conditions, and not only in side-shore wind!
First, I changed the original 2 side fins for stiffer fiber fins of the same size: more efficient to get going and they offer millimeter control in turns. With my weight of 84 kg, I could sail from 10-12 knots of wind, improve heading and leave the shore much more easily in onshore conditions. I sail with straps for more hold and radicality. I set them all the way to the back for the rear strap, and to the penultimate hole for the front strap. It facilitates control and allows more radicality in the surf while allowing to relieve the board for an earlier planning.
The sensations
Getting back to the sensations, this board can do it all and not just in side-shore conditions! A great surprise! It goes very well in choppy water, accelerates hard, and turns in a handkerchief … You can do your jibes and bottom-turns lying horizontally without any risk of losing the rail! In surfing, your bottom-turns will be conducted on the tips of the feet, very precise and you can send huge sprays on the vertical turns. In short, the board is awesome! If the wind really picks up, all you have to do is reduce the size of the side fins, or put on softer fins to feel like you have a smaller board that is still well controllable! Getting over the whitewater is really easy without slowing down the board.
The jumps
As for the jumps, which is not recommended with a surf, if you want to do big airs, it will fly high like a plane, always controllable in the air, allowing very gentle landings. In short, you will understand, this Lethal 5’9 is a gem in all conditions, and if you only have one board to take, don’t think twice, this is it! With a mini fin quiver, you can go out in all conditions, from 10 to 40 knots, or even more … and whatever the size of the waves and the direction of the wind! Thank you again to GONG for bringing out this amazing toy, once again. ”
