FEEDBACK: KARMEN FSP PRO

Technically more accessible than an Alley, the Karmen nonetheless remains a radical shortSUP as Olivier explains in his feedback.

“Here’s my feedback on the Karmen 7’8 FSP Pro 2023 95L, rider weight 75kg / exclusive use in FCS2 Accelerator type tri-fins.
On the new shape: it feels more like a true shortboard, a technical and light board which is more sensitive to chop and wind.
Requires the paddle movements to stay stable. After 5/10 minutes, the body’s proprioception has assimilated the balance. This is not a beginner’s board. I would place it between the old Fatal (less pearling and thinner rail than the Fatal), the Mob (livelier and narrower) and the Alley (choice of wider and less exclusive waves). It will appeal to those looking for a high-performance board that can be used more easily than the Alley and especially in simpler conditions. Less bulky than the Mob and faster.
The perfect balance is more technical to find with the placement of the feet.
On the other hand, once the takeoff has been made, it is a rocket. Even when slightly pearling, the nose systematically comes back out of the water.Ultra responsive underfoot, it turns in a handkerchief and accelerates very easily. This allows you to get over closing sections or to make a more radical exit.
For the take off, the wave must have some power but overall this new version has a wider spectrum of use. A real treat in waves of 1 to 1m50. Also requires good positioning and correct paddling technique.”
