“A little feedback of my first ever session with the HIPE 5’5 + X-Over XL + Plus V2 5m²: Lac de Lery Pose on July 19 at 5:00 p.m. Well first of all I found the indication of pressure of the wing: indicated Kite in fact. Pumping the board and the wing before your session is a good warm-up for your arms.
Unstable wind between 7 knots and 20knots with gusts at 30 knots at the end of the session. A lot of chop. I don’t regret having taken the 5’5 size for the board, because in the light chop, getting up at first was not easy, I lost my balance… No worries for sailing on my knees, intuitive, jibe on knees too. I got up 4 times but without flying. Feet in the front strap. I’m going to dismantle the back strap because it bothers me for the moment. I rather fell because of the chop but I think I have a tendency to let myself be carried too much by the wing, a little too much in my windsurfing harness. In any case the board is great, rigid, reactive like a rigid board, I don’t regret it!!! The wing is super maneuverable with I think the right power/softness compromise for beginners. I forgot: I was skeptical about the belt leash for the board and thought I’d hit it too quickly in the face, but no, it’s fun because I’m not standing on it with my feet and it forces me to remain attentive to the foil all the time. I can’t wait for the next one!!!”
