Feedback from Cédric on our website which had first bought the HIPE for its ease and which has now made it his main board for its performance.
In fact, you just feel like you’re on a rigid board.
The right dimensions for what I’m looking for with enough stability not to tire me unnecessarily and a very compact shape once in the air. I really love how smooth and soft it is underfoot while never having the feeling of being limited by the fact that it’s an inflatable tech. In fact, you just feel like you’re on a rigid board with a big soft deck pad and super relaxed by the fact that you don’t risk damaging it with a knee or by hitting a rock on the beach! It helps to relax and let go.
I really love these very smooth sensations which are in fact all that we are looking for with foiling.
For my practice I don’t actually see what more I could do on a rigid that my HIPE would not allow me. In these small sizes in any case, sizes for which the carbon plate covers almost the entire hull, the HIPE clearly plays in the same league as the rigid ones, with added comfort. I love it!! And as for the glide on take-off and the bumps, frankly nothing to mention on my side. On the contrary, the volume at the nose allows you to benefit from a “cork” effect which really helps the take off and well inflated it glides without worries.
In short, bought at the beginning as a spare board, it ended up becoming my main board, a success!!”
