FEEDBACK: GONG SUP 14'0 SHERPA FSP PRO !!!
Like a lot of SUPers, Stéphane started with an inflatable SUP. A few months ago, he decided to buy his first rigid SUP Board, a 14’0 Sherpa FSP PRO. Here is his feedback:
“A fantastic SUP (14X26).
After years on 12’6 Inflatables (GONG and others brands), I took the step a few months ago and I’m happy every time I use it. I tried several Boards before choosing this one. It is both very versatile and very efficient. It’s not too exclusive for family rides on the flat (it has removable nets) while allowing you to go very fast on a sport ride when you accelerate the frequency, including in a swell or it does not ride in the oven unlike others.
In downwind, it’s a real treat, it starts very easily and always remains controllable, even when it accelerates strongly. In surfing, it’s fantastic. Yes! Surfing! A small wave breaks offshore sometimes and I take an incredible pleasure to surf with this board, well camped on the back, making very small turns over long distances! Yet I consider myself a beginner. A competitor friend of mine found it great during a downwind test.
I upgraded it with a FCS connect fin from Kalama 9′ thinking to gain a bit more stability (deeper and more volume in the head) and handling (less wide at the base) and I find the perfect result for my taste (the aesthetics also fits perfectly!). This SUP is great, go for it!
