- Kite foil
First kite foil session with the Fronteira HDCC for Sylvain who discovers the super light and rigid technology that sets it apart from the others.

Kite foiler: Thomas, GONG staff, on Fronteira HDCC, HM92 mast, Fluid V3 front wing and stabilizer.
Solid and Rigid
“Firstly, I can say the construction is solid, and you immediately feel the rigidity when riding! In fact, it's mainly the low thickness combined with rigidity that gives a much better connection to your board. Previously, I was using a Catch 4’4, which is 4 years old and still in great condition!”
Unique Strap Position
“The first surprise with the Fronteira HDCC, and a bit of a concern on my part, is that the straps cannot be adjusted as there is only one insert position. Fortunately, the inserts have stainless steel threads rather than rigid plastic ones, which reduces the risk of thread damage if a screw loosens while riding. For example, the distance between the front and back feet is greater than my setup on the Catch, so I was worried about feeling a bit 'stretched out.' But actually, not at all—in fact, I felt more comfortable with this spacing than with my old setup! Sometimes it’s good to be pushed to change.”
While Riding and Jumping
“I mostly ride with a foil kite, and you end up really pushing in counter-heel on the board. The rigidity is very noticeable, and I love it! Same goes for landing jumps. You can feel that it’s solid, which is reassuring. The extra light weight of the board helps and gives me confidence to go for maximum height. The issue with jumping on a foil is mainly the weight of the gear underfoot, so having a lighter setup is always nice. Finally, it might be trivial, but I love this carbon finish—it looks amazing.”
