FEEDBACK: FRONT WING VELOCE M-T
Feedback from Patrick who tested two wing foil set-ups with the Veloce M-T front wing.
“Here’s a little gear feedback. First with the Veloce M-T and the stab Fast 40. Unbridled foil, glide and speed at the top! It’s very responsive. We turn on the spot, in slow motion or at full speed. There is very little back foot. The pumping is effective at low speed and at the head of the wave, which allows you to go to the right or to the left as you wish.
Takeoff and low speed lift are similar to the Curve M-T with the Veloce 40 stab. You have to change your technique to pump in the longitudinal axis with the board flat to reach the critical speed. Sharper stall with half the mast underwater (20% with the Curve)/ More technical to handle. The margin of safety is lower. Better heading and more speed in the cross swell.
Second test with the Veloce M-T set-up and Fluid M stabilizer. Good acceleration. Lower continuous speed. The stab laterally stabilizes the Veloce M-T. The carving is top notch with a rocker and very healthy and linear grip under the rear foot allowing you to engage in complete safety. Takeoff and pumping similar to the Curve M-T with the Veloce 40 stab with the technique along a longitudinal axis. Perfect combo when the wave offers lift.
Two great and complementary combos depending on the size and shape of the swell.”
