FEEDBACK: FRONT WING VELOCE LT

Detailed feedback from Ian on his new Veloce LT which succeeds to his Curve LT foil in his quiver.

“Here’s a short review between the Veloce LT versus the Curve LT.

I am 78kg with an intermediate level, I have a 85L board of 5’2, a 250cm3 surf stab. I have a 210cm3 Fast stab to try next. Wow, only 1 session on the Veloce LT and I love it!!!!! The water was flat water, gusty not very good 12 to 17 knots… I had a great session.

I think it is very easy to move from Curve to Veloce.

Take off

The same low end, maybe keep the board more flat, very smooth take off.

Glide – Wow so much more glide with the Veloce LT.

Speed – more speed with the Veloce LT.

Gybe – I loved the gybes with the Veloce, you can float in the turn and choose to glide slowly around if you want. I found gybes more enjoyable on the Veloce. But it will also turn tightly. I can now see how I will be able to do a 360 as you can turbo boost into a turn and glide with speed.

Carve/Turn – perhaps the biggest surprise was its ability to carve hard, it’s very playful and makes you smile!! I thought this maybe lost a little but no, the Veloce LT’s DNA is still a surf foil. I can’t wait to get amongst some waves. Size – unlike the Curve LT with the Veloce LT I feel like I could go smaller in stronger wind.

My summary

If you are an intermediate and you love the Curve LT you will 100% love the Veloce LT even more. After 1 session on the V LT I will sell my C LT.

Also, thanks to GONG as following the progression laid down, Rise > Curve > Veloce, I have progressed with ease and loved the learning.”
