FEEDBACK : FRONT WING VELOCE L

Feedback from JC on our forum who completed his foil quiver with a Veloce L front wing.
“I bought a Veloce L for wing foiling in addition to a Curve M (more oriented for Kite foiling or wing foiling in strong winds) and a Curve L which I really appreciate. All this mounted on a Lethal 5’1, with an 85 carbon mast and a Fast 45 stab (or 40 but I’m not very comfortable with it yet). My comparative assessment compared to the Curve L, after 2 sessions on the Veloce L with a 5m in 15/20 knots:
- The +: speed, acceleration, glide, jibe: it is a perfectly controllable fighter plane.
- The -: take-off a little more difficult if the wind is in the wing’s minimum range, but I expected it to be more technical, so I’m not worried. The stall speed is of course a little higher, but the difference does not make it an elitist machine.
In a small swell, I didn’t find a big difference in terms of maneuverability, so I have to check in stronger winds and waves. In short, a great step up in my learning curve.”
