FEEDBACK: FRONT WING FLUID XL et XXL

Feedback on the Front Wings Fluid XL and XXL by our ambassador François who gave himself some time to fully understand them.

“I always try to give myself a little bit of perspective before giving a feedback so here it is, I can tell you about my Fluids tested in wing foiling and dock start. I weigh 88kg stark naked, so a little more with my combat suit ;). I ordered L, XL and XXL, knowing that I currently have L-T, XL-T, and XXL Curves I only had the conditions to test the XL and XXL, here are my first impressions.

1 / The name of the range corresponds exactly to the word that comes to mind when riding: Fluidity! I I found an ultra pure, very smooth, very fluid glide!

2 / Acceleration is crazy but without being scary. I arrived full throttle in the transitions. By bearing off it allows during jibes, duck jibes and 360 to catch up with the wind speed and to easily maneuver the wing in transition. It turns on the spot. I can even do power turns without stalling. It’s super cool

3 / In the jumps the take offs are more regular and the wing regains speed super fast in reception… a little touchdown and we are flying again.

4 / In surfing it is very playful. You can link the curves while keeping a good speed even on very small and soft waves.

5 / Take off: this is where I had the most difficulties. Do not forget that I am riding the Kube 3’11 which does not facilitate the exercise of early take-off in light wind. With the Fluid XXL I therefore lose a bit compared to a Curve XL-T. Switching to Mint 4’10 for the light should fix the problem. I tested a Mint 4’8 the other day and gained a lower wing size in the same wind!

In short, I am quite won over by these wings. I can’t wait to test the L and also see what it’s like when surfing behind the boat with it! ”
